80′s Ringtones

80′s Ringtones

Ringtones are melodic sounds (Most of the times) you hear when someone dials your cellular phone number and an incoming call or message arrives. Given that today’s modern cell phones are considerably more sophisticated than landline phones, ringtones can be custom-made to suit the cell phone owner’s personal taste and style.

While the old school cell phones come with monophonic tones that sound, much like a single beep or note. Today’s new cell phones come with polyphonic ringtones that allow more than one single note to be played at the same time, thus making realistic musical sound bites from movies or songs possible.

Ringtones are very popular with cell phone consumers these days, and growing in popularity by the year. Cell phone ringtones are quite often used to sound like hit songs, theme music, and classics from the great composers of yester year; as opposed to the regular ringing, a phone makes that we are all accustomed too.

The majority of modern cell phones come equipped with at least 10 or so built in ringtones that can range from anything between Heavy Metal, Beethoven and Mozart sonatas to name a few. Using custom ringtones, whether composed yourself or downloaded, are a great way to personalize your mobile phone.

Cellular service providers created a feature, which allows us to associate different ringtones for every phone book entry we have stored on our phones. We can then easily find out whom the caller is without even taking a look at our cell phones, making it easy for us to decide ignore or take the call at our convenience.

One popular ringtone that continues to do very well time after time (No Pun Intended) is 80’s ringtones! It really seems like people just cannot get enough of the eighties. People of all ages and backgrounds, love getting items and clothing from the 80s and that includes 80s ringtones especially from old 80s movies and songs. From The Breakfast Club’s Simple Minds hit “Don’t You Forget About Me” to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have fun”, 80’s ringtones are everywhere you just have to open your ears and listen.

Indeed I remember the days of 80′s when I was a growing up teenager and the enthusiasm of living the life was sky-high. The music tends to lure the inside of us . The sound of music still linger in the mind as fresh as it can be. After reading this gem article a feeling of teenage life which I had to leave behind with the passing time has come alive and it seems that why not that time could have continued like it was. I want to appreciate your article as it mirrors the time of 80′s very realistically. Thanks.
